What? BSD (Brighter School of Discipleship) is an amazing opportunity for people from all backgrounds and age groups to join a fun, diverse and empowering community of people who want to explore faith together and learn more about God and themselves as disciples. We are project governed by Wigan Deanery trust in the Liverpool Diocese of the Church of England. At BSD we champion people, help them build up their confidence, encourage them to step out of their comfort zone and most of all invest in them and their discipleship. We exist to encourage and equip people to disciple others and reach people with the message of Jesus. We want to see disciples who make disciples. We have an annual fundraiser that all of our students join in with in order to help BSD become self-sustaining. Raising funds this way helps to keep students’ fees low and enables us to provide internal sponsorship which means that those who could not afford the fees never have to miss out. All of our students and others from the BSD community are going to take on individual challenges such as 5k a day, running/walking a 10K, putting on a tabletop sale and so on.
