There are many admirable qualities I could describe when writing about our lovely Gordon, who died in June 2019.  When I signed up for the Barcelona Half Marathon, after a while out of the running circuit, I thought of him and in particular of his sense of fun and his continuous commitment to helping other people. 

This is why I am raising money for some cancer charities that are important to me and my family.

Gordon supported Newbury Cancer Care for many years, tirelessly working with the wonderful staff, raising funds and progressing the development of the building.  More recently we have benefitted from this fantastic team more personally and offer them gratitude and thanks. 

My other chosen charities have connections to my extended family: St Helena Hospice in Colchester and The Pilgrims Hospice, Canterbury. 

Thank you for any donation you can make and I will remember Gordon’s sense of fun as I am training through the winter. I appreciate this is a tough time of year to ask for cash so any Euros, Pennies or Cents will be truly appreciated.
