Story
I am Walking the Wight My Way to remember my Nan who sadly died on the 14th of February this year. I know first hand what fantastic work Mountbatten do, through the support I have received after my Nan died. Nan always told me she wanted to come and visit the Isle of Wight and Mountbatten and she new all about the fantastic and support Mountbatten provide. She wanted to make a donation herself so I am going to raise as much as I can for her.
I was so excited about Walking the Wight this year so I am going to Walk the Wight in as many different ways I can until the end of May. I hope to be able to Walk a full 26 miles soon.
I'm completing 'Walk the Wight My Way' to help make sure that, even during this challenging time, the most vulnerable in our community are cared for when they need it most.
It's only with our help that Mountbatten can continue to be there for Island people in the last years of life, when the time comes to die and to help those left behind comes to terms with there loss. Without our support, Mountbatten cannot afford to deliver the services they do, as well as meet the needs of the increasing number of people who need care and support.
Please help by making a donation of whatever you can afford. Every penny will make a difference. Mountbatten, and Island people facing death dying and bereavement, are counting on us!
