The vision of Compassion in World Farming is a world where farm animals are treated with compassion and respect and where cruel factory farming practices end. Our mission is to advance the well being of farm animals worldwide.

Story

“The question is not "Can they reason?" nor "Can they talk?" but "Can they suffer?”

― Jeremy BenthamThe Principles of Morals and Legislation

No meat. No fish. No dairy. No eggs. No honey. I'm going Vegan for Lent.

This will be a challenge, but one which I intend to embrace wholeheartedly. I would be very grateful for your support.

My family and friends are well aware that CIWF is a charity I hold close to my heart. They do fantastic work in campaigning to end the cruel practices of factory farming and long distance live animal transport.

60 billion animals are farmed for food worldwide every year, the majority being reared in cruel intensively farmed conditions. It is undoubtedly the biggest cause of animal cruelty on the planet and I believe we can all play a part in making a difference. If we continue to eat animal products then we must remember that the food we choose has a direct impact on how farm animals live. We vote with our wallets.

Please support me in any way that you can so that CIWF can keep up the good work. No amount is too small.

Thank you.

Hannah xx

“People care about animals. I believe that. They just don’t want to know or to pay. A fourth of all chickens have stress fractures. It’s wrong. They’re packed body to body, and can’t escape their waste, and never see the sun. Their nails grow around the bars of their cages. It’s wrong. They feel their slaughters. It’s wrong, and people know it’s wrong. They don’t have to be convinced. They just have to act differently. I’m not better than anyone, and I’m not trying to convince people to live by my standards of what’s right. I’m trying to convince them to live by their own.”
