Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am raising money for  VSO which will go towards its ICS programme of working with young people to help combat poverty. My project will be based in Malindi in Kenya where my main placement activities will involve working with Kenyan volunteers to improve access to education for children and young people with a range of disabilities. 

ICS (International Citizen Service)  is the UK’s leading global volunteering programme for young people who want to do voluntary development work abroad. ICS brings together young people from different countries to fight poverty – with volunteers from the UK working alongside volunteers from the developing world.  Each project is designed to fight poverty and make a lasting difference by working with local people to meet local needs. This means that volunteers are having real development impact.

Please note that the money raised by ICS volunteers ensures developing countries can continue to benefit from the work of future ICS volunteers from the UK and overseas and will not directly fund expenses such as my accomodation and travel.
