Great Scottish Run Half Marathon 2014 · 5 October 2014 ·

We help the babies, children and young people treated at Scotland's largest children's hospital, the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. We fund medical equipment, research, play programmes and family support services to ensure that our young patients receive the best possible care and experience.

Story

We would like to complete the half marathon and raise money for Yorkhill Children's Hospital as they do a tremendous job for the children who need treatment but also their families.

One of the main reasons for raising the money for this charity is that, when Kyle was 15 months old, he suffered a very serious burn to his chest leaving him permanently scarred. However, if it wasn't for the work done by all the staff at Yorkhill, the outcome could have been a whole lot worse. They also managed to get him into a position that he could leave hospital just in time to spend Christmas with his family when that looked at impossible for some time.

This is a cause very close to his heart as he would like to give something back to a place that gave him so much and we think this is a great cause to support.

So if you could donate any money towards this, anything at all, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank You

Hannah, Kyle and Lucy
