I am taking part in this challenge to raise money in memory of my dear dad who we lost to cancer in February 2021 after fighting a long battle with this awful disease. The care and support Dad received from this amazing charity during his end of life, we will never forget.

I also want to raise money for The Martlets Hospice in memory of my old school friend Bob, who sadly lost his battle with cancer in May this year .  The staff at The Martlets supported Bob and his family during his cancer treatment.

What my dad and  Bob went through is a reminder that anybody, whatever your age or health history, can be affected by a serious health condition, and that organisations like The Martlets are invaluable in such times.

Even if you can only spare £1 to donate, it really does make the world of difference to charities like this who rely on fundraising.
