Story
We lost our beautiful, sweet and crazy Anne on the 2nd June 2022, and in her memory we completed the 3 peaks challenge on Wednesday September 28th -Thursday 29th, where we climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell and Snowdon within 24 hours.
Annabel had UPS, which is a type of Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that unfortunately not many people have heard of, let alone know about which therefore means it goes very underfunded and under researched, and successful treatment options are hugely lacking - something that has to change.
Her family and closest friends want to stop any other families suffering the loss of a loved one due to this awful disease, and would love your donations and support to Sarcoma UK to help fund vital research and treatment options that are just not currently available; something that could have saved or prolonged Annabel’s life. £30 alone funds an hour of research, which could make all the difference as current treatment options have not advanced in over 50 years due to lack of funding.
Anyone who knew Annabel, knew how selfless and thoughtful she was, and despite how aggressively she suffered during the 8 months, it was still so important to her that more awareness was spread on sarcomas so that no one else has to needlessly suffer as she did. We promised Annabel before she died that we would do the 3 peaks in her honour, and for the cause that meant a lot to her, and we fully intend to carry out this promise.
Anything that you can donate would mean the world to us and to Annabel. The money is crucial, but it would also mean a lot if you’re able to share this justgiving page, so that more awareness is spread on Sarcomas, which may just save a life. We share a huge thank you, from us and Annabel, in advance 🤍
Love the 3 peakers team,
