We would like to invite you to donate to Walton Neuro Science Fund in memory of My Uncle Paul who passed away suddenly last September aged just 48.

I, Danny, cousin Michael and my mum-Lynne, have all committed to running (or crawling!!) the Chester half marathon on Sunday the 18th of May at 9am.

This will be the first event for myself and although my mum was once spritely at running – she has not ran on a regular basis for several years now. We had our ***FIRST!!!!*** training run last Saturday afternoon…. I’m sure my uncle Paul would have been laughing at us both!! He always thought both me and my mum were mad, but found us humorous at the same time! Trust me when I say the saying is true; “Laughing at you, not with you!” because he often did just that!

We ran for 6 miles whilst she sprinted often sprinted ahead… showing off and claimed I didn’t have the same running technique!! The cheek!! Though I did snitch to my nan and Gdad and he said it took her years to establish that… so I’m not being too hard on myself!! As you all know… I am not a runner; however, I am determined to complete the half marathon in memory of my uncle. This is definitely going to be a tough task for all 3 of us but we are more than ready… we think!!!!
