Story
I am a volunteer at Diverse Abilities Plus. Langside School and Coping With Chaos are both part of the charity.
Langside School is for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties. I am a school governor at this amazing school.
Coping With Chaos is a service providing holiday play opportunities for disabled children and their families, offering vital companionship, fun and mutual support to children, parents and siblings alike.
Many of my friends have benefitted from the outstanding support and impeccable service given to them by Coping With Chaos and Langside School. I am doing this for them!
The inspiration for my forthecoming jump of faith came from two very special friends of mine. Phylis Edwards is the founder of Diverse Ablities Plus. Phylis founded the charity approximately 58 years ago because she was frustrated by the lack of services in the Dorset area for those with disabilities.
Phylis has a disabled daughter who uses the adult services at Diverse Abilities Plus.
Phylis is now 95 years of age, and a great friend of mine! She never ceases to amaze or inspire me!
