Story
In June 2021 we tragically lost our beautiful little girl Maisie just weeks after her first birthday. With no idea of how to continue with our life without her, or how to handle the journey of grief we reached out to the Scottish Cot Death Trust. The trust welcomed us with open arms, supporting us in anyway that they could, they provided myself and Ross, as well as other family members vital counselling to help us cope with the pain. Almost 2 years later we are still supported by the Scottish Cot Death Trust, and can’t imagine a time in our life that we won’t rely on them for support when times get tough.
Last year on what would have been Maisie’s 2nd birthday we did a number of fundraisers, our friends Sophie and Ryan did a skydive, Ross’s sister Lori did a bungee jump, my mum Shirley did a sponsored walk along side her friend Pat and we arranged a fundraiser night, we raised close to £10,000 throughout the month of June which is an unbelievable amount of money. The money raised helps the Scottish Cot Death Trust to continue to support bereaved families like us, which without the support I imagine our lives would be completely different.
This year in memory of our precious little girl, I am doing an abseil in Aberdeen, off of the Northern Lights Tower, which is 131ft!! Please donate if you can, as the money goes towards such a fantastic charity.
