I'm delighted have a place in the London Marathon and be able to support Mind. It's a huge honour to be able to support this amazing charity.

Mind is a cause close to my heart, having struggled with my own mental health over the years, and having lost a friend who took his own life last year. Each year 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem, and Mind does incredible work in local communities by giving support, advice, and empowerment to individuals, ensuring no one has to face their mental health battles alone. 

As well as supporting individuals, they also campaign for change in the way that people experiencing mental health issues are treated within healthcare and the law, and promoting discussion to reduce the stigma around mental ill-health.

Running the marathon is going to be a huge personal challenge, and I really appreciate any donation, no matter how small, to motivate me through the training and over the finish line!
