Story

Hi Everyone :)

I am swimming 3k as part of Eton Open Water Swim 2015 on 25th May 2015 in an hour and a half!

http://humanrace.co.uk/events/open-water-swimming/eton-swim

This is a big challenge for me as I have never swam outside before or worn a wetsuit!

I am doing this in aid of the Kent Law Campaign and Prostate Cancer .

This page is for Prostate Cancer .

I am raising money for Prostate Cancer  as my Grandad is a sufferer of Prostate Cancer and is an inspiration to me.

My Grandad has started a group called Nailsea Prostate Group, http://www.nadpg.org.uk/; and the aim of this group is to raise awareness of prostate cancer and to organise regular meet-ups to get sufferers together to discuss their issues or ways of coping with the disease.

My Grandad's group has been very successful and has recently secured funding from Waitrose.

My Grandad is an incredible man and I am extremely proud to be his grandaughter. I would be most grateful if you would sponsor me to take on this challenge - I need all the support I can get!

I am also a Financial Services Paralegal at Macfarlanes LLP and it is the law firm's Charity of the Year!

I am definitely not a natural speed or stamina swimmer! I was a synchronised swimming, training continuously, however, I retired formily in 2009 and swam for Masters Championships back with my old team in 2012. When I first went training in October 20 lengths was a struggle let alone 120 outside! This will most definitely be a huge personal challenge for me!!

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my page.

Han x
