Story
In October last year we received the devastating news that Pete had pancreatic cancer. Pete loved life and all that shared it, he was not ready to leave us yet. He was very brave and went through all the treatment he could and 3 months of intense chemo. Unfortunately, even though he fought so hard and did incredibly well.... it did not work for him, and the decision was made to stop all treatment.
Pilgrims hospice took over Pete’s care from here and they did so much to support both him and his family through this difficult time. They organised for doctors and nurses to visit him every day and keep him as comfortable as can be. This enabled him to stay at home where he wanted to be with his loved ones to care for him.
Pete passed away peacefully on the 31st May 2020, and in his honour we would like to give a donation to the wonderful team at Pilgrims hospice to whom we are all so grateful. The family wishes that instead of buying flowers for Pete’s funeral, please contribute to their donation. They rely on donations so a little will go a long way.
Thank you for all your kind words, we all know that Pete was so dearly loved and will be missed hugely by all that knew him.
