Story
Dear Friends,
Like Mo Farah, I too will face a baptism of fire when I make my debut over 26.2 miles on Sunday April 13th. I’ve luckily got a place in the London Marathon this year. I’ll be running for a small charity based in London called Housing for Women.
My mother sits on the board of this charity and they do a huge amount of work for women in need in areas such as domestic violence, trafficked women and rehabilitation of women offenders.
“Combatting violence against women remains a strong focus of our work and over the years we have developed this provision through the establishment of refuges and support services for particular groups of women… the core of our work and our values remain the same, to provide homes and support to London’s women in the greatest need.”
I’ve been tasked with raising a substantial amount of money - £5000, which, for a small charity could go a huge way! Please donate as you see fit, the largest donation will get to choose my fancy dress – 2 conditions, nothing that chafes and nothing that is too revealing!
Thanks for your support!
Hamza
