We provide disability services to improve the lives of children and adults

Story

After the success of climbing Snowdon in August 2010, some of the Hamlet Volunteers and friends have still got the adrenaline bug so we have decided to set ourselves another challenge for 2011 !!

On the 18th June, some of the group will be cycling from Kings Lynn to Cromer (55 miles), camping overnight and then hopping back on the bikes to cycle back to Norwich the following day (another 35 miles).  The rest of the group will be walking over a marathon from Holkham to Cromer (26.9 miles).

This year we will be concentrating on funding for the Out of Hours Project which we are all involved in.

What is the Out of Hours Project?

The Out of Hours project started in 2006 and aims to increase leisure and social opportunities for our members, who are all adults with disabilities.

We run Out of Hours Clubs in the evenings and during the weekend.  Themes for the Out of Hours Club are chosen a month in advance by members: for example we have had an ice cream sundae night, a BBQ, soap carving, a music quiz, karaoke and a games challenge to name a few.

As well as the clubs we also run social activities in and around the city throughout the month.  These activities have included: trips to the theatre, pub trips, meals out, pottery painting, picnics, pamper nights, and a tour of the BBC studios.

Any donation you can make will help us to ensure that these activites continue
