Story
I shall be running this years’ London Marathon on 23rd April and will be raising money for Phab Kids, a charity supporting children and adults with and without disabilities to make more of life together.
Phab run a network of clubs across England and Wales offering activities which members of all ages and abilities can share and enjoy. There are over 170 Phab clubs with 8,000 members in all age ranges from under 8’s to over 80’s. Please take a look at the website http://www.phabkids.co.uk/
This will hopefully be 2nd time lucky for me as injury prevented me from making the start line last year. Phab have been kind enough to defer my place and the generous donations of many people were rolled over and have no doubt already been put to good use. But, I would still like to raise more and have set myself a target of £1000 for this year.
Our families’ connection with Phab goes back to the 1980’s when my late father first volunteered. At the time we also used to run Phab residential courses at school which unfortunately are no longer possible in todays’ world of health and safety and risk assessments. Consequently the Phab clubs are extremely important.
Thank you for your support.
