100 mile bike ride for The Christie in memory of Sohail Sheikh

Manchester 100 bike ride · 5 September 2021 ·
The Christie charity is aiming to raise £23 million for the proposed construction of a new centre in Macclesfield where Christie patients will be able to receive outstanding cancer care, closer to home.
Christie’s has been there for patients and families for over a century. They have touched many of our lives on a personal level and offered personalized treatment and tireless care from dedicated and selfless staff.
This ride is dedicated in memory of my dear brother Sohail Sheikh, my childhood best friend and most caring and loving brother and the cleverest person I knew. In his short life of 22 years he achieved so much and fought leukaemia during 6 of those with tremendous courage and great dignity. Even though he was receiving chemotherapy at Christie’s for half his A level year, he topped the year at MGS and gained admission to St John’s college, Oxford University as a medical student. Sadly he could not fulfill his dream to become a doctor and care for others. May he rest In Peace and be granted paradise from Allah Almighty. Ameen. Love you and miss you Sohail, my BFF xxxxx
