Story
We held a live streamed event on Sunday 7th February where viewers got an exclusive glimpse inside ZSL London Zoo in Regent's Park while it is closed to the public. We were taken on a tour around the Zoo, introduced to some of the animals and their stories, followed by a Q&A session with the Zoo's Animal Operations Manager.
If you would like to view the YouTube video, we would ask a suggested minimum donation of £10, but please just donate whatever amount you're comfortable with.
PLEASE NOTE: When making your payment, you will be asked to share your details with HWC. Please do so in order that we can email you the link to the YouTube stream which you can then watch at your convenience. Your email address will not be used for any other purpose.
The purpose of the event was to raise much needed funds for conservation and animal welfare. It's a great opportunity to have a fun 1.5 hours, meeting zoo animals from the safety of your own home.
If you're unable to watch the stream, we would ask you to please consider making a donation. The Zoo now has to shoulder the costs (£1million/month) for the food and care of 18,000 animals without any visitor income. Please help them to survive this lockdown for their future and ours.
Cover photo (taken by ZSL volunteer, Sheila) is of Sumatran tigress Gaysha who arrived at the end of 2020 at the Zoo. Gaysha has a starring role in the broadcast, you won't want to miss it!
