Story
Diwali is an Indian festival that brings families and friends together and fills homes with light, love and laughter. The celebration is known as the Festival of Lights, and is one of the most joyous times in the Indian calendar.
HOPE is inviting supporters to create their own special Diwali Supper at home (within lock down restrictions) and to make a donation to HOPE, and in so doing, help to bring light into a child’s life on the streets and in the slum communities of Kolkata.
The HOPE Foundation’s vision is of a world where it should never hurt to be a child – thank you for helping to make this vision a reality.
Every donation will help to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of the most vulnerable.
* £522 will provide a Diwali meal for all 261 children currently in HOPE’s care.
* £20 will feed a family of 5 for sixteen days in Kolkata.
Since 1999, HOPE has been working tirelessly to provide a lasting positive change to the lives of street connected children and slum communities in Kolkata, India.
HOPE implements more than 60 vital projects which focus on the provision of child protection, education, healthcare, and life skills services to vulnerable children and families - who are living in some of the most difficult circumstances.
