Story
Hi all!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I've been lucky enough to gain a place in the 2016 Virgin London Marathon to run on behalf of guide dogs!
If you weren't already aware we (The Trusler family) recently rescued a 4 year old chocolate labrador named Dodger, not from the guide dogs mind you but nevertheless since Dodger has joined the family we can't remember what it was like without him. He is always there for a cuddle and follows us about even if we're in a bad mood. He always comes running to the front door when we come home, putting a huge smile on our faces.
The thing is, there are dogs out there who do a whole lot more for some people than Dodger does for us.
The Guide Dogs service receives no government funding, and relies on the generosity of supporters to change thousands of lives every year. Every hour of every day, another person in the UK loses their sight. When this happens Guide Dogs is there to make sure that they don't lose their freedom and independence too. Guide dogs assist blind and partially sighted people to live independently and give them freedom of movement just like everyone else.
I hope you take the time to donate to this wonderful cause and I will be incredibly grateful for any donations received. Please visit the guide dogs website if you would like to find out more about their fantastic work.
