Story
June 2017:
Alzheimer's National Cupcake day came to Hörmann UK, with numerous staff offering baked goods for sale. We ran several activities alongside the cake sale, including 'baby photo guess who' and 'guess how many sprinkles'. This being the second time we have held a successful bake sale, we are hoping to repeat the event next year and make it an annual addition to our charity calendar
May 29th:
A huge congratulations to David Newcombe, who successfully completed the 102 mile Leicestershire Round on Monday 29th May. Due to good weather and pace, David was able to surpass expectations with a 29 mile stint on the first day, which helped when tackling an especially tough day 2. David has already mentioned that he would like to complete the Leicestershire round again next year, this time in 2 days!
May 26th:
It has begun, David Newcombe has begun on his 4 day 102 mile walk in aid of Alzheimers Society.
Good luck David and all those involved!
May 2017:
Farmageddon:
Hörmann UK staff members are taking part in both the 5km and 10km Farmageddon run on the 20th May in Market Harborough.
The Leicestershire Round:
From the 26th to the 29th May, David Newcombe is challenging himself to complete the full Leicestershire round, consisting of 102 miles. Staff and family members will be joining David Newcombe on the 4 days, walking through some great locations in Leicestershire.
2016:
Hörmann UK completed the Stonehenge Trek in September. Staff members chose either the full or half marathon. We raised just over £2,800 from this event, thank you for all of your support! Hörmann UK also took part in the annual cupcake day which was a great hit with everyone, so much so that more cupcakes had to be made for the following day!
At Christmas, we raised money through the national Christmas Jumper Day, which included our projects manager Cliff Weller dressing up as Santa. As well as this we raised money to encourage Rob Earle, operations manager, to dance at our Christmas party. In total we raised over £500!
In 2015, Hörmann UK raised £37,405.67 for the Alzheimer’s Society. This was achieved through the efforts from our staff and support from our trade partners, Hörmann will continue to support the Alzheimer’s Society in 2016 with smaller fundraiser’s which have already been added to our amount and we are currently planning to do a big team challenge later in the year.
2015:
