Story

I love swimming, but I normally swim in a pool.  I like the sea, but generally open-water swimming is new to me.  At the moment I am still becoming accustomed to swimming in a lake, so the Great Scottish Swim is going to be a challenge for me.  I have signed up for the 1 mile course, so I'll be swimming for around an hour, I think.

I decided to fundraise for the Methodist Church World Mission Fund because without it my parents - Dr John & Mrs Sharon Harbottle - would not be able to do the transformative work they are doing in Haiti.  Neither would I have grown up at Maua Methodist Hospital in Kenya, nor would mission partners still work there and all over the world today.

The Methodist Church World Mission Fund supports projects and individuals around the world.  People's lives are changed through living and sharing together.
