So your most likely thinking, another girl with a sob story, I mean it isn't the best story, but it's not a stone story. I'd look at it as more of a difference in our lives. My name is Gwynneth, I am 23 and I have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes since I was 14, a year after my lovely mother passed away unexpectedly, she was also a diabetic. This New Years my not so little brother was rushed to hospital with diabetic ketoneacidosis (DKA) he is also now along side me, a type1 diabetic. We are so greatful to receive the support we have, that now keeps are hearts beating on a daily basis.
So I'm going to give something back (or try to, with your lovely lots help) I'm doing this for Me, my brother, my beautiful mother, my Nan who sadly passed away who was also a diabetic on dialisis and to the rest of my family who have diabetes (even if it's type 2 and fake, Melanie and grandad!) and to all of you who know the struggles! The high bloods, the lows, the twitchy legs and irritating little quirks, it's not our-fault we eat the entire fridge when we have a low!
So please help me reach my goal, jump out a plane and give something back to a charity which helps keep me and my loved ones alive! I hope to achieve my goals by August.
Thanks and one love to all who help in advanced,
Gwynn X
