Friends and family I need your support and I hope that you are able to help?

Over the last few years we as a family have sadly lost both Dionne’s father and my father to cancer, each after long and difficult battles with this horrible disease. 

After these difficult times for our family, we decided that we wanted to get involved in cancer support and research, so thought of fundraising challenges that we could get involved with to raise funds, then unfortunately Covid struck !

Now, 3 years on and more opportunities available I have finally decided to  participate in my first overseas fundraising event being the Rock The Alps challenge this September, when I will be trekking through 3 countries in the Alps, starting in Italy, crossing Switzerland into France.

For this trek, I have decided to support the Love Hope Strength Foundation, founded by the north Wales rock star Mike Peters and his wife Jules, both cancer survivors.

I feel immense pride in supporting this worthwhile foundation who as a charity promotes innovative, music related outreach and awareness programmes for leaukemia and cancer sufferers, survivors and their families. The Foundation also raises awareness and recruits potential donors to the organ and bone marrow registers.

In addition, the Love Hope Strength Foundation also supports local North Wales cancer services, donating both funds and equipment to the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board among others.
