Story

Thank you for visiting my donation page.

This year I am raising money for the Care Professionals Benevolent Fund (www.cpbenevolentfund.org.uk)

The charity has this year helped numerous care workers in their time of need, including:

Case 1 -

Mr. + Mrs. M’s twin babies were born prematurely and as a result suffer from an array of illnesses meaning that they require 24hr care from the parents and regular visits to Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Due to the nature of the twin’s illnesses’ they are required to make the journey to the hospital with equipment to keep the twins stable (eg. oxygen bottles). To compound problems,  has nasal canulars and a gastrostomy tube which he tends to pull out meaning one of the parents must sit in the back of the car to supervise constantly.

Mr + Mrs. M. came to the CPBF asking for a small grant to help towards the cost of a larger car as their current vehicle was simply not big enough to meet their needs. The CPBF were happy to help.

Case 2 -

TF, a 37 year old full time mother from Cardiff, is the wife of SF, a 41 year old care assistant who tragically died suddenly and without obvious cause earlier this year.

Devout mother of two sons aged 6 and 11 years, she was left with limited financial income as her husband had, up to that point, been the sole provider for the family.

With limited availability for state benefits, she fell in to financial difficulties and was unable to meet the costs for her late husbands funeral. Without the necessary funds and desperate to say goodbye to her husband in traditional fashion T approached the CPBF for support.

These are just two of the many people that the charity has helped.

Without your support, the Charity will not be able to give assistance to people, who throughout their working lives, have cared for others.

Please give generously to continue this support
