As young people, we want to reach out to our community on behalf of our peers who may be dealing with mental health issues, and ensure that their needs are met with dignity and compassion in the hospital setting.

Story

I'm Griffin Faecher, and I'm one of the members of the Overlook Junior Board. Students from schools around the county teamed up with Overlook Hospital to raise money for the Overlook Hospital's Children Center, specifically the construction of a new area of the hospital dealing with patients that suffer from mental illness. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, all of us have either struggled or seen someone we know and love struggle with mental health issues. Our goal for fundraising is to ensure the safety and mental security for all of our peers.

About the campaign

About the charity

The Overlook Foundation raises funds for state-of-the-art equipment, facilities and programs that help Overlook Medical Center remain a leading provider of medical care. Contributions to Overlook are tax-deductible and remain “at home” to serve the needs of the greater Summit-area communities.
