National Grid Grads Tackle 7200km , 26 May 2020
We are a local charity that aim to to improve the lives of people in need

Story

The 2019 National Grid Grad cohort are attempting to cycle/run/walk/crawl 7200km (the distance of National Grid overhead lines in GB) throughout June . This works out as approximately 176km to cover for each Grad taking part!

We are raising money for Helping Hands Community Project. Helping Hands gives a hand up not just a hand out for the homeless & local people in need in Leamington, Warwick & Kenilworth. They give people support & opportunities to feel better about themselves, be more active in the community & get back into work.

Any money raised will help people move forward from homelessness, domestic violence, addiction, mental ill-health and unemployment to a better future. They are also supporting those affected by Covid-19 in the local area.

We have set up a team page on Strava and each member will record their activity, contributing towards the team total. Updates of the distance covered will be posted on this page periodically throughout June.
