Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In March 2010 I am taking part in a gruelling 370km cycling challenge across India to raise funds to stop cancer ruining lives.
I'm taking part in the second Big C Cycle Challenge, to support the work of four special charities: Marie Curie Cancer Care; Children With Leukaemia; Ovarian Cancer Action and The Lymphoma Association. It is expected I will be among a group of more than 50 people from across the UK who will get on their bikes for the challenge from 6th-15th March 2010.
The event is a great opportunity to raise money for charities working in many different ways to provide research, information, support and care but all with the common aim of supporting every person affected by cancer. The first Big C Cycle Challenge raised over £100,000 to support the work of the four charities. I need to raise a minimum of £3,200 for the cancer charities in order to participate and I am hoping you will help contribute towards me doing that.
Ann Frampton from Action for Charity, which is managing the event on behalf of the charity partnership said: "So many people have been touched by cancer in one way or another. This is an opportunity for a special group of people to join together for a personal challenge that will have positive benefits for their own health as well as the work of four wonderful charities aiming to stop cancers ruining lives."
