In London...it's really happening!
stumbled over 20k last night. Paying for it this morning. #londonmarathon
The first £20 is in. Not sure who it's from but thank you. I will now fun 10k after lunch.
"How hard can it be?"
Those words will probably haunt me forever.
It started in a pub. Always a dangerous place. A friend of mine (Owain) was scheduled to run this but realised he couldn't 100% be sure he would be in the UK. Another friend (Alex) who has run it before pointed out that it would need total focus.
My reply...how hard can it be?
Jokingly.
However, pub rule 345.2 states that what is said in jest in a pub can be held against you if witnessed by two inebriated friends. My AS level in law couldn't confirm or deny this and it duly was held.
That night I also had my Movember tache shaved by a group of random strangers wielding a razor. It is probably on YouTube but be careful of your search terms!
So, the next day, fuzzy of head I had a creeping feeling I'd done something I might regret. It then dawned on me. Tempted to back out?
Never.
Let's Do This Thing!
PS - I have never even run 5k before. I am 101kg. I may not be by the end of this.
