Story
POST RIDE UPDATE! I successfully completed my ride around the Greenway. I was much quicker than last year and instead of cycling with mummy and Nathan I was in the front group. Mummy was very pleased to hear that Graham and Trevor kept an eye on me as she was too far behind to look after me. I had a dramatic fall when my bike clipped one of the barriers and then my bike landed on top of me. The weather was perfect and I even got a little sunburnt as we didn't think of putting on any suncream before the ride. I was pleased to cycle quicker this time, all the training really helped.
Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored me, it is much appreciated!
I am going to cycle 13.6 miles around the Letchworth Garden City Greenway on 16th May 2015. I did it last year and am hoping to find it a bit easier this year, it is a long ride! This is the second year the Kids Greenway Cycle Challenge has run. It is a bike ride arranged by my friend Hugh and his dad Graham in memory of Hugh's mum Lois. I'd like to support Hugh and have fun riding my bike. I am hoping for better weather this year!
I would be very happy if I could raise a lot of money for Garden House Hospice, which is a hospice located in Letchworth but it serves the surrounding towns and villages too. Services are offered free of charge to patients and families who need support. The NHS contributes towards the day to day running costs of the hospice but as a registered charity Garden House Hospice is dependent on voluntary donations and fundraising to raise in excess of £1 million per year in order to maintain the current level of services.
