Story

Recently my Granny died. I am very fortunate to be very close to my family, and all my Grandparents have influenced and shaped my life in ways that I'll forever be grateful for. I know that the activist in me, the person who is driven to protect people and the planet on which we live, has his roots in the attitude and actions of my Granny.

Ever since I was a small child, I've been visiting the Isles of Scilly, a marvellous, magical and spectacular archipelago off the coast of Cornwall, home to a myriad of creatures, some only found there, some just resting on their way to another home. The very first time I went there was with my Granny, and she'd be going since the 60s with her children, my Mum and Aunts.

This place is so special to me, and it's so special to my whole family, so protecting it and ensuring that it continues to fascinate and flourish is very important. That's why I've decided to fundraise for the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust.

Please consider donating even a small amount in memory of my Granny, in the knowledge that the hard work of the wildlife trust will safeguard the amazing species on the islands for many years to come.

AND because I'm a gamer (unlike my Granny, who used her tablet more as a paperweight), I have decided to add some fun to this fundraiser! I'll be streaming on my Twitch channel for 12 hours on Saturday 27th March from 12pm-12am! With the help of my friends I'll be attempting to recreate the island of Tresco in Minecraft!
