Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year I set myself a new year’s resolution to start running for the first time in my life. By some miracle I’ve kept it up and have now set myself the challenge of running the Bath Half marathon on 16th October.

I’ll be running in memory of my dear Grandma - Colleen Lay - who was the matriarch of our family and the epitome of kindness.

Grandma died this year after decades of living (and suffering) with Parkinson’s disease. Because of research done by charities like Parkinson’s UK, Grandma was able to access pioneering medicines and live more comfortably for longer.

If you’re able to make a donation I’d be so grateful. All funds raised will help Parkinson’s UK get closer to finding a cure.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
