Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be walking the ancient Pilgrim route the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, from St Jean de Pied de Port in the South West of France, all the way to Santiago at Cape Finestere, a total of 790km.
Unlike the famous, "John O'Groats to just down the road from John O'Groats cycle ride" in 2002, this is an individual challenge that will genuinely push me (and all those who have to share a hostel) to the limit. The walk should take me about 40 days and 40 nights (spooky eh?), I won't be running a blog but will be keeping a journal which I will post after the event.
The aim is to raise as much money as possible for the Al-Ahli Hospital in the Gaza Strip, a charity that is being supported by Churches here in Wales. All of those who know me are aware of my passion for the plight of the Palestinian people, so anything that you can give, large or small, will be greatly appreciated. Further details on the charity are available at http://www.weareus.org.uk/news/gazahospital/
My walk is totally self funded so 100% of the donations will go to the charity.
Thank you all for your kind donations.
