Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, all donations big and small will be gratefully received.
I have wanted to run the London Marathon for a while now and I have been lucky to have been given this once in a lifetime opportunity by the Sea Cadets.
The Sea Cadets are a national youth charity which gives young people the best possible head start in life, through nautical adventure and fun, based on the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy.
Units of the SCC are formed solely by volunteers in local communities. Each unit is a self-supporting, local youth organisation and an independent charity which relies on donations to ensure no child loses out because their family cannot afford it.
Sea Cadets gave me the confidence and skills required, enabling me to serve 22 years in the Royal Navy and also achieve other goals in my life. I am now a Cadet Forces Adult Volunteer in my role of Commanding Officer of Sittingbourne and Milton Sea Cadets, and raising money for the Sea Cadets gives me the opportunity to give something back to the charity and my local unit.
