Is it a bird, is it a plane, its not superman he's far too short, it can't be batman because he doesn't wear glasses, no this time it's an Ironman (well hopefully)!

On the way back from the Emergency Services Triathlon in 2009 a ridiculous idea was raised on the journey back from Nottingham, that idea was trying an Ironman. An Ironman is a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride then running a marathon, yeah, I thought it sounded crazy as well. Somewhere, somehow the idea sort of grew and in December I found myself frantically tapping away on a friends laptop in a remote Scottish village trying to get my application in before the places all disappeared. I was lucky (maybe) enough to get a place, and so did 2 of my friends. So now the training is ongoing, the worrying has started and the chocolate and beer seems that much more appealing.

So once more I am asking for sponsorship in support of this endeavour, any sponsorship helps and gives me that little bit more motivation to drag myself round the course, and I think I'm going to need all the help I can get, plus if I'm going to do something this stupid the least I can do is try and do a little good along the way.
