PLEASE HELP
If you don’t want to read all my story then just know it’s in memory of my granny and I am running 10K for Alzheimer’s Scotland. DONATE WHAT YOU CAN PLEASE
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have set this page up as I am running the Edinburgh 10k next year in memory of my beloved Granny who passed away last year after a battle against dementia. I am unfit..... this is no walk in the park for a guy of my "build" in fact walking in the park can be a bit of a challenge so this will most definitely be considered an EXTREMELY tough task but will be so worth while.
Let me tell you a little bit about the lady that is making me want to do this
Granny was fun loving and wild, she was unique in so many ways,.... listening to Frank Sinatra, then Eminem followed by Muse would back up just how unique she was - find me another Granny who could rap to slim shady and il tell you you have a winner in your life.
she spoke to every man and his dog, yes quite literally their dogs, she would even carry dog biscuits in her pocket to ensure all dogs got a treat. She was adored by anyone who met her, from her years working in Murray Royal to her little trips to the bookies, even knowing and slagging off all the taxi drivers in Perth. As big a Celtic fan as anyone I knew - it cut her deep knowing that one of the Grandsons was a blue nose, yet she entertained me all the same, although I'm sure her love for Henrik was just as big as it was for me and the rest of the grandkids. Her status in the family let her be known as the Queen Bee, granny was the heart beat of this family and she always made sure her boys n the rest of the family were always ok no matter what her situation was.
As the years went on granny started forgetting names and doing all the little things that were normal common day chores for her , she had trips and falls causing herself injury which worries us all and was eventually diagnosed with Dementia, she still had her usual cheery and funny attitude even on her worst days however sadly in the end dementia played a big part in Granny passing
Losing Granny hit us all hard - losing her was such a big loss however I am and will always be extremely grateful for what she done for me, what she taught me and how she loved and cared for me just like she did with everyone who she crossed paths with
The work that the charities do are unbelievable and they are working endlessly to get results so I made the decision to run to help their cause!
I would love if you could help donate, no matter how much it is .... every single Penny will count. Iv a target of 300 but I know with your help I can achieve so much more.
Even if you don't want to donate please visit

You can see exactly the hard work they are doing and just how big a killer dementia really is.
Thank you
