Story
Hi everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page!
On 23 April 2023 I will be running the London Marathon for Brain Tumour Research to raise as much money and awareness as possible for this important, yet underfunded cause.
As most of you will be aware, my brother Adam was just weeks away from becoming a dad when, in October 2021, he was diagnosed with a glioblastoma (GBM), a highly aggressive form of brain cancer. The way Adam has battled this disease has been inspirational to all that know him and he's my reason for running the London Marathon.
You can read more about Adam's story here: https://www.braintumourresearch.org/media/news/news-item/2021/12/02/dad-to-be-s-brain-surgery-filmed-for-bbc-documentary
Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age and they kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Yet historically, just 1% of the national spend on cancer research is allocated to this devastating disease.
Please help us raise as much money as possible to fund research and bring us closer to finding a cure!
Thank you all,
Graeme
