The Plan for my second challenge, the Rob Burrow Leeds marathon raising £1,000, inspired by rugby legend Kevin Sinfield who himself is raising awareness and funds for MND by running incredible endurance events, and in memory of my late brother Ian Brine who very sadly died of motor nueron disease on the 18th June 2020 aged 49 after an 18 month ordeal with the disease, and for anyone who is suffering from this cruelest of disease's and for all those people that have been effected.
I'll be running the Rob Burrow Leeds marathon on sunday 14th may 2023 at 09.00. Starting and finishing at Headingley stadium in Leeds / west yorkshire ,the home of Leeds Rhinos rugby club and Yorkshire county cricket club.
The challenge of running and preparing for to run 26 miles is a big challenge ive set for myself and im not getting any younger, but it doesnt even touch on the challenges which people with MND face everyday.
Im proud to be supporting motor nueron disease association.
The MND community need our love and support. Will keep banging the drum and doing our best.
Thank you for checking out my page.
All the best.
