NCO's Grade 1-a-thon, 30 August 2015
We inspire children from all backgrounds to achieve their full musical potential.

Story

In 2014, NCO's inspirational founder Vivienne Price passed away. She left a legacy behind that will ensure the future of young musicians across the country. NCO have set up the Vivienne Price Memorial Fund to help ensure that Vivienne's vision is continued long into the future.

Encouraged by Peter Stark, Interim Chair of the Trustees, some of NCO's staff will be taking on the Grade 1 challenge. The staff will be learning an instrument completely unrelated to their main instrument and for some they will be picking up an instrument for the first time. The aim is to pass grade 1 in the Summer term of exams. Roger Clarkson, NCO's Artistic Director and Principal Conductor, will learn the violin that was bequeathed to him by Vivienne.

Please help support this cause and to encourage those of us who haven't taken a music exam in a great number of years (or ever!)
