Hello! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Grace Taylor and I have just finished my A-levels in Newcastle. I have recently been selected by an educational charity called Project Trust (www.projecttrust.org.uk) to teach english to children of all ages in a small, rural village which lies 400 miles south of Santiago, Chile. I will be teaching in a boarding school where over 600 very poor pupils attend and there is only one English teacher. I will be mainly teaching English, to anyone from the nursery classes to the other teachers, but as a boarding school and a community in its own right, I will have the opportunity to develop extra-curricular clubs in areas which I love, especially music, dance and sport giving the children a useful preoccupation. At the end of August, I will be leaving Newcastle for an entire year to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity and I can't wait. But before I do so, I need to raise £4,660 to fund my trip.
I have several fundraising events planned, sky diving, head shaving, a restaurant meal night, a coffee morning, a travel calendar..and many, many more ideas. If you are able to make a contribution, whether it be your time, money, resources, venues, possible raffle prizes, and of course greatly received advice, I would be more than grateful. Simarlarly, if you would like to help or get involved in the above events, give me a ring.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Project Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
If you would like to know more about my fundraising plans, my project or myself, please do not hesitate to contact me at gracetaylor56@hotmail.com
Thank you all very much for your interest and support,
Grace xxx
