Story
Suicide is the biggest killer of young people and sadly whilst we will all experience hard times and dark thoughts throughout our lives there are people out there who feel they have no other option when in fact suicide is a permanent fix for a temporary problem.
To bring awareness of people who are feeling suicidal or having dark thoughts we are taking time away from our families cycling from Inverness to Lesmahagow over three days from the 21st to 23rd December to raise money for the Lanarkshire based Charity Chris's House.
Although for most this is a joyous time of year it's also a time where many people will feel lonely, isolated and very vulnerable and we should all be looking out for each other.
Chris's House stands for ‘Centre of Help, Response and Intervention Surrounding Suicide’ and has been set up to offer a safe environment where people in crisis may have a respite from their current unwellness, by finding refuge in Chris’s House and involve-ment in an individually tailored programme to offer support and respite through their journey.
