A collection of solo vignettes
Conceptualised and Directed by John Patterson
Gobstoppers is a series of original solo vignettes specifically commissioned for the project. John Patterson, Artistic Director of Angel Theatre Company invited a team of writers and actors to collaborate with him on this unique production, which is now available to watch online until 5th April 2021. Gobstoppers promises to be an experimental, entertaining, and thought-provoking event for viewers to enjoy!
Instead of charging a pay-per-view fee, Angel Theatre Company are asking viewers to make a donation to Acting For Others, a charity dedicated to offering financial and emotional support to all theatre workers in times of need. They ask that you please give as much as your circumstances allow as their aim is to raise a minimum of £500 for this worthy cause. They hope their contribution will help their freelance industry colleagues who are suffering through lack of any form of government financial support during this pandemic.
Please note: Gobstoppers contains strong language and scenes of sexual suggestion. Angel Theatre Company recommends parental discretion for any viewers under the age of 16.

ACTING FOR OTHERS
For every successful theatre worker, there are hundreds of actors, dancers, musicians, lighting technicians, wardrobe staff, front of house, backstage workers who are not so fortunate. Acting for Others is here to provide not only financial but emotional support to all theatre workers in times of need through the 14 member charities. At this difficult time for all, the theatre industry needs your support more than ever. With the closure of theatre, tens of thousands of theatre workers across the UK are facing unemployment and financial uncertainty for a number of months. We thank you all for supporting the theatre community at this time.
