LATEST NEWS....

The ride was originally  planned for the summer of 2020, but due to Covid-19 we had to delay it , and again in 2021.Unfortunately the Glowing Embers had to postpone their ride in 2022 due to one of our team members having an Injury which stopped  him  from cycling.

But this year , on MondayJune 19th 2023 we will finally set off on our journey.

The "Glowing Embers" are a group of retired Fire Fighters from Greater Manchester. Alan Firth, Gary Manock, Mark Goodier and Andrew Maidens are cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats between 18th of June and 2nd of July  2023.With Steve Hughes, Martin Smith and Ian Hyde in the support team they are taking on this brilliant challenge to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.

All the riders and support team are funding the trip themselves so all the money they raise will go to the charity

Having all worked in the Fire and Rescue Service we know how important the work the charity does is for the whole Fire Service Community.

Please support us in raising as much as we can for this amazing charity.

The Fire Fighters Charity offers specialist lifelong support for members of the UK’s fire services community, empowering individuals to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives.
