Global Champions Unite is a fun, dynamic and creative way to get motivated with your fitness & well-being whilst caring for seafarers. Funds raised will support our new on-line chaplaincy welfare service and our responses to the Covid-19 crisis.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our page.

We are the Shipping Department of Fratelli Cosulich Bunkers Singapore and our daily job is to take care of our fleet of bunker tankers trading in Singapore.

Due to the Covid-19 and the consequent travel restrictions, our crew members are staying on board much longer than normal and they can’t go back to their countries on shore leave. We are lucky to have very professional and hard-working crew members on board, however, we know that they are all worried about their families back home and that this is affecting the morale.

This is why the Champions United Cause is very dear to us and we want to raise awareness and do something good while still in lockdown, waiting to go back to “business as usual”.

We will be running, biking and walking a total of 600 km in 90 days.

Please support our cause. Any donation, even the smallest, makes the difference!

Thank you!

Around the world, The Mission to Seafarers provides help and support to 1.5 million men and women who face danger every day to keep our global economy afloat. Piracy, shipwreck, abandonment and separation from loved ones are just a few of the difficulties merchant seafarers face. Covid-19 has added to the already challenging circumstances. Seafarers face isolation, fatigue, and prolonged periods away from home, approximately 20% have contemplated suicide or self-harm, according to a recent Yale University study. At this challenging time, it is even more important to highlight the plight of seafarers worldwide and to support them through this crisis.
