BitlyCares launched in 2021 as Bitly’s official company-wide philanthropic program. For our first-ever annual Global Catalysts for Movement event, we are proud to dedicate our efforts to supporting the International Rescue Committee’s continued efforts to support Ukraine and The World Resource Institute who develops programs that focus on challenges between environment and human development.

The Global Catalysts for Movement event kicks off on May 1st across all Bitly offices and measures the distance from San Francisco, to Denver, to New York City, to Bielefeld, to Berlin for a total of 6,284.74 miles (10,111.09 km). For the entire month of May, employees will be running, walking, rolling, biking to collectively hit the distance goal which is the total number of miles/kilometers between all global offices. The company will match the mile effort with a dollar for every mile a team member covers.
