Story
I've pushed myself towards challenges I've regarded as difficult or impossible over the past 5 years, learning a lot about myself along the way. I've picked this challenge because it's tough, and as a first timer, the odds are that I'm unlikely to complete this race. It's my firm intention that, after this, I'm 'retiring' from anything that hurts this much, requires training sessions that take over my weekends and demands my family to sit for hours on end waiting for me whilst wishing I just took up golf or something normal.
It may be a couple of days of pain, but compared to the work of the staff and parents at Bluebell Wood, it's absolutely nothing. They defy challenges, uncertainty and embody the best of human nature on a daily basis. I absolutely couldn't do what they do. They are heroes.
It would mean a lot to get your support for this incredible charity. Beyond that, I run the risk of falling in the canal, defecating myself, getting mugged and breaking my body all purely for your entertainment. Thank you for your support.
