Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I've signed myself up to do a 526km Bike ride In India over 6 days in aid of Save the Children.
For those that know me well enough, will know that I don't do a lot of cycling.
In fact I bought a bike last year, and it's been in the garage since!
I've now dusted off the bike and got wet attempting to do some limited training (its clearly the wrong time of year to be on a bike in the UK)!
I am aiming to raise £3,500.00 for this good cause and the pain I will be putting myself through!
The Rajasthan challenge will see us cycle 526km from the Taj Mahal to Jaipur. In temperatures exceeding 30°C
Some information on Save the Children Charity………
When disaster strikes, there is no time to lose. Save the Children responds quickly to save children’s lives wherever disaster strikes. In 2011 they responded to 45 emergencies in 38 different countries and helped over 3 million children.
Your donation will go directly to help children caught up in emergencies:
£25 can buy a hygiene kit for a family of five with buckets, towels, soap, toothbrushes and toilet paper.
£40 can buy 24 buckets to help families carry clean water.
£140 can provide families with emergency kits, to help them survive devastating cyclones and storms.
Any amount you can donate would be greatly appreciated
Thank you
