‘In memory of Alan John Fuller, Churchill Transplant Unit - Renal Medical Ward (0254)'
To celebrate Gleeds' 130th anniversary, we're aiming to fundraise at least £130,000 for charities across the world in one week: 21st to 25th September 15.
On Friday 25th September 15, staff in our London office will be putting their stamina and fitness to the test by either cycling, running, or hiking the 100-mile South Downs Way from Winchester to Eastbourne…against the clock! Sound like a walk in the park? Don’t be fooled! We’ll be facing some of the hilliest terrain in southern England! It’s estimated the total ascent or decent (depending on which way you travel) equates 4,150m or 13,600 ft.
We've chosen to fundraise in aid of the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals Charitable Fund in memory of our colleague, Alan Fuller. Alan was a respected Associate for Gleeds Cost Management, who unfortunately passed away in June after battling from Burkitts Lymphoma.
Even from his hospital bed, Alan would email praising the amazing care he had received from the team at Oxford Radcliffe, while also (in true Alan form) - asking about his projects and Gleeds!
Supporting our event would mean, the hospital would be able to provide additional and/or specialist medical care, support and equipment to patients, of which may not be covered by the NHS.
Your support would mean an incredible amount to his family and Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals.
