GLASGOWLIVING ARE GOING ALL OUT!!! (96 MILES OUT) TO HELP TEAM CY-RUN RAISE A GRAND TOTAL OF 125K FOR THE PRINCE AND PRINCESS OF WALES HOSPICE!
GlasgowLiving is our highly engaged digital community which keeps thousands up to date with what’s happening in Scotland’s biggest city.
On Monday, June 5th our GlasgowLiving fundraising team called
“GlasgowGiving” will be undertaking a sponsored walk of the West Highland Way (96miles) in order to raise money for Glasgow’s Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice (Brick by Brick Appeal.)
Personally, this is our biggest challenge to date, for a cause that is very close to our hearts! We will be contributing our donations as part of Team Cy-Run to add to their remarkable ongoing fundraising challenge. So far these guys have amassed an unbelievable £112,000 and we're hoping to help them reach their target of £125,000!
Already we’ve secured sponsorship and support from some of our city’s nearest and dearest including Arnold Clark, Sub Club, Wunderground, Ibiza Digital Media, Studio Native, Lisa Donati, Mearns Builders, HSR, The Swan, SPS & Mini Grill, Battlefield Live, EK Storage +++. For this campaign in association with our sister company, Ibiza Club News, our online awareness and fundraising campaign is likely to reach out to an engaged audience of over 22 million!
The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, who provide free palliative care to the people of Glasgow in their hour of need, has outgrown its much-loved home at Carlton Place. Our fundraising is going towards the building of their new hospice in Bellahouston Park, The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice Brick by Brick Appeal was started to raise the £21million required for the build.
Heather Manson, director of fundraising at The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice said: “The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is absolutely delighted to have the support of GlasgowLiving.
It’s a fantastic challenge and the money raised will boost our Brick by Brick Appeal. “We have £21million to raise and are now at £19.6m, so every penny that helps us get closer to that target is much appreciated.
“Moving to our new home in Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park
will enable us to continue to provide a gold standard of free palliative care but in a 21st-century setting. Every patient will have their own
private room with access to outdoor space and by extending our services we can care for young people aged from 16 years for the first time.”
